CREATIVE SPACE

Across the globe young people are finding new and creative ways to participate and be heard. Through our Creative Space programme, we support young people engaged in the creative sector including sports clubs, musicians, and other artists to speak up about issues that affect them. The Creative Space programme zooms in on the following strategies:

We support the development of creative spaces where young people meet, be creative, and speak up about their challenges and solutions.

Case: Dreamtown supports the local art collective in Harare, House of Arts Association, to develop an art space. The space is used for creative events and trainings for youth.

We support young artists to make it in the art industry - to create an income and a sustainable strategy for art activism.

Case: In Zimbabwe, the two art focused organisation Yellow World and House of Arts Association host festivals on mental health, sport against drug events, and support the development of murals in urban spaces.

We support creative place making and art activism where young people make their voice heard through artistic expression.
